The PUWMA product came to market in late 2021 after a considerable time spent on research and development to ensure that the finished product was exactly what was needed. We were very lucky to have a team from Cork City Missing Persons Search & Recovery happy to carry out extensive testing of the prototype. The PUWMA prototype unit was also sent to two government agencies to conduct trials and provide feedback accordingly.
All these trials were conducted in Mid 2021 and it was not just feedback we received, but orders based on their experiences while conducting trials of the prototype. We received orders from all the units who had trialed the prototype. The Local Enterprise Office provided invaluable assistance in both mentoring and financial supports to allow the fine tuning of the prototype unit allowing the first units to be supplied in October 2021.
Since then, we have focused on streamlining the build process as well as continuing with R & D with a number of upgrades and add-ons in the pipeline.
Training programs were finalised in November 2022 with these being delivered to existing clients. The training course will form part of future packages allowing the customers to have a comprehensive understanding of sonar technology as well as hands on training with the PUWMA unit from day one.
Having just moved into a new office space which will allow both the production of the unit along with a work area to facilitate the continued development of the product, 2022 looks to be even more exciting than 2021.
